Spaghetti Towers

Group Evaluation

3. The tower was 50cm tall

4. The ratio of the cost:height was 29:5

5. I like how my tower got up to the target height at 50cm and I disliked how we had to use a lot of extra spaghetti for support to get it to stand still.

6.  The biggest challenge we faced was to keep the tower from leaning and we fixed it by adding more spaghetti diagonally inside the tower for more support.

7.  If I had an opportunity to redesign my tower I would try to make it  taller while using less spaghetti.

Self Evaluation

1. On the first try we could not get it to stand still no matter what we tried and by the end of the class I wanted to give up. However, on the second day we decided to change our design by making a square base rather than a triangle base.

2. The base of our tower looker fairly similar to everyone else's, however, we added a pyramid shaped top with a smaller pyramid on top for extra height.

3. If I could add any material to the mix I would add support such as a platform or styrofoam to keep it more sturdy.

4. In my group I contributed mostly by taking the pictures, by contributing my ideas, and helping whenever was needed.
